About the Author
Aesop was an enslaved storyteller in Ancient Greece. He is said to have been born in 620 BC. He is also said to be the author of hundreds of famous fables, which are still told and reprinted today. Aesop died in 564 BC.Milo Winter was born in Princeton, Illinois, in 1888. He worked most of life as an illustrator of children’s books for various publishers. Winter died in New York City in 1956.

I enjoy reading fables to my students and discussing morals while enriching vocabulary with words that are no longer commonly used. This book is well made and pages are glossy. I wish the stories and pictures had spaces between them instead of appearing like they flow into each other. It is difficult to show the pictures, which are few per fable, because there are usually 2 or 3 fables to a page. The dimensions of the book are not very large. Overall, I would recommend the book. It is chock full of wonderful old fables.
This is the perfect gift for a child! Each story teaches important morals and has beautiful illustrations. I really enjoyed reading these stories as a child and I think my nieces will really enjoy reading them as well.
A book of Aesop's Fables is a perfect Christmas gift for a 7-year-old. I loved Aesop's Fables when I was little and I can't wait to hear what my nephew has to say after he reads a few of the stories as well.
I was happy with the pictures. It is a beautiful book that makes my children want to read.

Great pictures. Great stories. 6yr old loves it. Only thing that should be improved is have a picture for EVERY story. Other than that this is great.
The stories have great lessons in story form for my toddler, I've even got the teenagers to pay attention.
